WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE FOR
THE BARNET GROWTH GROUP

OUR VISION
Barnet is a wonderful borough but it could be so much more. The Barnet Growth Group is an association of residents who support and champion proposals that will help meet the challenges our Borough faces.
The Group supports new high-quality housing that suit the needs of people across the age spectrum, and proposals that create jobs and wealth within the London Borough of Barnet.
Alongside this, we support measures that will improve our public realm and particularly those that encourage more people to visit our stagnating retail centres.
We also support proposals to prioritise sustainable ways of travelling through and around the Borough.
For too long, the debate about new development in the Borough has been dominated by people who don't recognise the need for change, and the need to cater for future generations.
That needs to change and fast,
Our Borough needs forward-thinkers.
It needs innovation and new ideas.
It needs a diverse range of voices making the case for growth, and those prepared to say yes in my back yard.
We know Barnet can be better, and the Barnet Growth Group will work to achieve that.
ABOUT US
The Group was founded by Oliver Deed and Russell Curtis, residents in the London Borough of Barnet, who believe in the case for growth in the London Borough of Barnet.
Oliver grew up in Barnet, and is the co-founder of ECF, a community engagement consultancy based in London and Sydney Russell is the Founding Director of RCKa, an award-winning architectural practice based in London, and he is the Chair of the Barnet Quality Review Panel. Both unapologetically work on range of projects, for both public and private sector organisations, that help build new homes and create jobs across the country.
We are welcoming anyone who lives or works in the borough, who believes in the vision outlined above, to get involved. Our plan is to build a network of like-minded people to campaign for policy change, support initiatives that facilitate growth and change the conversation.
